Pip drew me a happy drawing, because he heard I was sad. I was very glad to get it today in the mail.Yesterday we had a funeral mass for Dad, and a reception and family gathering afterward. The time with distant loved ones really does help. There is good reason behind all these traditions.

I didn't see it before I mailed it, since Pip draws so lightly and sometimes chooses light colors, but now I see the man and the heart and grief and joy. Thanks for posting this. I think I will photograph more of his drawings, to see what the camera will show me. Usually I recognize his birds and trees unaided.
Pip's favorite color, by the way, is orange.
