Tall Trees Final

One more time... This is the final version of Tall Trees. Genie Sea actually provided the clue I was missing - she thought the lower left needed a red ball. While I didn't want to go that far (her pieces are bolder than mine sometimes) I did realize that I wanted a warm repeat of the orange curve above. I had been thinking of straight lines and that wouldn't work any way I tried it in my mind. I wanted a curve.

I need this board for another piece I'm impatient to start. And I've got another in progress that I won't show until it's done (it's simple, and it needs to be complete for proper impact).

I still haven't packaged up the CD covers. I haven't had enough time to get to it. I have printed out the addresses and gotten some of the packing material. I'm getting there gradually...

oh YUM, this is delicious....!!

and for a second or two I thought I saw a hand in the lower left, holding the forest by it's roots... perhaps my imagination?

blessings for a good week to go...

Ah, funnily enough, now I can really see the trees.

Excellent!

Yes! That's perfect! A curve a curve! :)

They say half the thrill is the anticipation :)

I really love the vertical lines of this. Sweeping upward!

There's something very inspiring in the sweeping upward lines that Lisa mentioned. I especially like the fact of it's being a fleeting image of Nature as reality and metaphor. It's beautiful.

You need some processing time now. Just relax your way toward your perceived obligations :-)

Susan - I'm going to start with you out of order, because your thought was exactly what I needed today, after a day of highs and lows, laughter and anger. You know you're engaged when all the emotions are in play... Maybe too engaged in this case. So I finally mowed that lawn, spoke for over an hour to neighbors, all chance conversations, had dinner with Youngest while reading the comics together, painted a little on the latest piece (unseen so far) and now, with a headache, I'm on my blog... What I want to do it continue painting, but it makes my head hurt more.

Linda - Thanks for the blessings - I can use them. I'm in a weird low/high place. The "interesting times" of the Chinese blessing/curse? I'll have to look for the hand - unintentional.

Michelle - That would be a good result, and not surprising to me.

Genie - that "red ball" comment stuck with me... And I'll be right over to see what I won (where I am in order).

Lisa - The upward sweeping lines was what grabbed my in the initial random drawing, and it drove the whole painting after that. I'm glad you like them.

It's easy to get off track and harder to get back on as I can attest. After a 4 month hiatus I've finally posted another Adventure. Be well.
