Mondays are pretty hard on me. I go from weekend to work, and then it's a day of wall-to-wall meetings, catching up on last week and setting the direction and priorities of the week. Over the weekend I get enough light, but at work I come and go in the semi-darkness. If I stay late, as I often do, then I leave in full dark. It's all disorienting.
So it's hard to paint on Monday evenings. But this painting has a lot of detail that I can do without a lot of emotional connection, so it was OK to start this tonight, for an hour or so.
I might play with some other things just before bed, but this is the most I'll probably get done today.
SC tomorrow and tomorrow night. No painting. I'll make it a point to do some drawing of some kind - that's what moleskines are for (and I have a grande and a poco) but I won't be able to photo or post images tomorrow. So I'll post something else I wrote a while ago, awaiting an evening without the camera and home PC.

steve, I'm sorry to see how much time your work requires...and it's dark too.
this drawing is really interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how you develop it.
ooooh, there's blue. there will be fish.....i will watch intently. =]
Linda - Many thanks for the sympathy, and the interest in this odd painting. I'm really looking forward to your thoughts on it as it progresses. This one is not likely to get done all at once, so I expect several more stages being posted.
Tammy Vitale - LOL. I hadn't thought about the fish yet!
